A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between CRRT and IIT in February 2013.

Since 2008, CRRT is working in close association with Biotechnology Department of IIT Madras. In the area of research, we are transferring tissue samples and relevant material from patients with breast cancer, osteosarcoma and head & neck cancers to the Biotechnology Department of IIT for molecular biological studies and analysis.
The Trust, in collaboration with The Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute Of Technology, Madras conducted a three-day Internatiional Conference CANCERCON 2010, on Cancer Biology, at IC and SR Auditorium, in the campus of I.I.T. between 18th and 20th February 2010.
CRRT and IIT will conduct Cancercon-2 in February 2014 which will see the merging of scientific sessions and clinical workshops.
Dr. C.S. Mani, in collaboration with Dr. S. Mahalingam of Department of Biotechnology, IIT, has put up a project proposal to the department of Science and Technology, Delhi, to set up a bio bank where tissue samples can be stored and retrieved for various research purposes. This is to be done with the participation of the concerned patients.
In order to have a record of their patients during treatment and to know their situation even many years down the line, CRRT is in the process of setting up a Tumor Registry.
